Benedicts Bridge Garage is a long-established family-run business since 1962. We have continued to grow, especially in recent years with our team of experienced local technicians. Catering for all your vehicle maintenance needs, we offer a personal service, taking care of not just your car, but you as a customer. This is often reflected by our local and returning customer base, where in many cases we take care of all the family’s vehicles.  

Here at Benedicts Bridge Garage, we understand in many cases a vehicle is one of the most expensive living costs as well as an essential part of day-to-day life. With this in mind, we always strive to provide honest, reliable service and hope to provide solutions to overall vehicle maintenance, keeping you on the road.

We carry out Class 4, 5 and 7 MOTs, as well as all aspects of servicing and maintenance on your car, motorhome or light-commercial vehicle. Whether you need a simple bulb replacement, or a larger repair such as a clutch or engine replacement, our team will take care of it all. In addition to repairs, we offer quality used cars and light-commercial vehicles for purchase. Our vehicles are personally sourced and selected and all preparation is carried out in-house. Meet The Team

Ross

Company Director, Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester

After finishing school in 2008, Ross joined S & P Autos in Kingsteignton on a full-time basis to complete his apprenticeship, followed by master technician training. At S & P Autos, Ross gained skills working on both classic and modern vehicles, giving him a broad skill set within the workshop. 

In 2014, Ross joined his father at Benedicts Bridge Garage, to run and grow the MOT, servicing and repair sector of the business. He is also strongly involved with vehicle sales.  

Away from work, you’ll find Ross enjoying the great outdoors with his young family. He enjoys trail running, swimming and attends gym classes when he gets the opportunity.  

Chris

Customer Service and Business Support Coordinator

Chris joined our business in 2017, having worked in various areas of business support and management outside of the motor trade. Chris has grown with our business, and provides all aspects of customer service, as well as managing our diary and carrying out a wide range of business administration.  

In his spare moments, you’ll find him enjoying time with his children, family and friends. An enthusiastic follower of many sports, Chris can often be found watching the NFL or the Premier League. He is also a keen runner. 

Stewart

Company Director, Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester

Stewart has been in the motor trade since leaving school, starting out with an apprenticeship in a Renault dealership in Torquay. He then later went on to join his father in the family business and has operated the garage since 1984. Stewart has a wealth of experience and knowledge across all aspects of the motor trade. Stewart is now mainly responsible for the vehicle sales aspect of the business. 

When Stewart is not at work, you’ll find him out on his bike across Devon, and more recently returning to his interest in motor sport, maintaining and racing his trials car in events across the U.K

Vince

Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester

Vince got his start in the motor trade by completing a vehicle body repair and refinishing apprenticeship, whilst working for a local company that also offered recovery and mechanical repairs. He later continued his training, completing a servicing and repair qualification.  

Vince joined us 2014, with his broad skill set immediately proving an asset to our business. He predominantly carries out mechanical repairs and MOT testing. 

At home Vince has a young family.  When he’s not enjoying time with them, you’ll find him getting stuck into DIY, or in the garage working on his track car, preparing for the next hill climb or track day.  

Mitch

Vehicle Technician

Mitch was a mature student when he embarked on his motor vehicle apprenticeship in 2021, following achieving a 1st degree in Visual Effects. After working in the creative sector as well as education and retail during Covid, he decided to follow his dream of working on cars.  

Mitch joined us after completing his qualifications in July 2024, and has broadened his skill set in this time with us. He covers all aspects of servicing, repair and diagnostic work in our workshop. Mitch has also turned some of his broader skills to digitalising some of our admin processes, as well as building and maintaining our website and social media.  

When Mitch is not at work, he enjoys spending time at the beach or up on Dartmoor with his wife and child. He also enjoys photography and DIY. 

Richard

Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester

Richard has worked across many brands in main dealers as well as spending the last 12 years working in the independent sector. He joined us in early 2025 and brings vast experience and a wide skill set to our workshop. Richard carries out all aspects of vehicle repair and MOT testing.  

Away from work, Richard enjoys spending time with his family and you’ll find him running the local Army Cadet detachment.   

Susie

Accounts and Office Administrator

Susie works part-time as the head of our accounts department and contributes to all aspects of business support and administration.  

When not at work, Susie loves getting out on her bike, walking the South West coastal path, and spending time with her young grandson.

Victoria

Sale Vehicle Preparation and Business Support 

A trained outdoor instructor by trade, Victoria works part-time at our garage, carrying out vehicle valeting and preparation of sales vehicles. She also supports the business in the office when required, as well as running important errands.  

Outside of work, Victoria loves getting out into the countryside, and you’ll find her out enjoying the outdoors with her young family. She enjoys trail running, and is a key member of her local netball team.
